I've been working on my scrappy wedding quilt, trying to get it finished before our first anniversary!
I have a pattern, but I decided to change it and do a few blocks my own way (does that surprise you?)
One of my WASIQ friends, Cindy is a designer. She had this cute heart block pattern free on her web site:

I also wanted a 'Jar' block to represent the cute little jars of homemade apricot jam that me & my best friend made as wedding favors for the guests.
I found some but they were paper pieced (no thank you) .. finally I found this tutorial:

The first one I made was a bit wonky and so I just added 1/4 inch to all the background pieces and that allowed me to trim down nicely to a 6.5 unfinished block.
Now it just need a jam jar label!
